ZenniOptical...Tried It Tuesday...

It's Tuesday, time to link up with my super sweet friend Holly at Fourth Grade Flipper
for Tried it Tuesday.
http://fourthgradeflipper.blogspot.com/2014/01/tried-it-tuesday-new-years-resolutions.html

I was really excited about this Tried It, but I had to wait a whole week
in order for my Tried It to be delivered.
It was well worth the wait!

I happened upon a website called ZenniOptical after
reading about it on someone's Instragram.
(I am not affiliated with this company...at all)

 Yes, I'm an Instagram stalker.
No, I do not feel bad about this.
I learn many valuable things on there...like the
best online shoppin' places...like Jane and Groopdealz.
I am still waitin' for Joanne to join...she promised!

I got on ZenniOptical.
I watched the How To videos.
I pulled out my prescription from the doctor that I got in the summer.
Measured my PD (Pupillary Distance).
Uploaded a picture of myself to see what each pair of glasses
would potentially look like on me....laughed A LOT!
Ordered.
Waited about two weeks after stalkin' the mailbox
every.single.afternoon.
Opened the package and was delighted.
They each came with a lil' plastic case and cleanin' cloth.

I ordered THREE pairs of glasses for under $50!
This included tax, shippin', lenses, frames, etc.
THREE pairs!
The lowest frame is $6.95 and they have 10% off right now
for Valentine's Day.

Here they are.
Not a great picture, but they are cute little frames.
I would take a selfie with them on, but I'm sick.
My eyes are pitiful and don't want the attention today.

I will definitely order from here again.
In fact, one of my teammates ordered a pair for one of her students
that had misplaced her glasses.
Sweet...right?

  1. I love that you get to "virtually" try on glasses. That is a great deal. I need to start ordering contacts online, I know they are cheaper that way, I just can't get my act together. I also like how you own your "stalking", the first part of battling any problem is admitting you have a problem : ) Off to the movie theater for a little snack!!!! : )

  2. Are you kidding me??!! Three pairs of glasses for under $50?? Are all your styles the same, just different colors? I need new glasses and so does my son-you couldn't have timed this better! I see you called me out...you'll be disappointed that I'm no closer to joining Instagram-I still have 10 days-don't give up on me yet!! xoxo

  3. Do they have hispter-style glasses, because that's the only thing I look good in.

Or a monocle. I can pull off a monocle my dear ol' chap.

  4. That is an amazing deal! I just went to the eye doctor to get new glasses last week because mine got broken, it would be great to have a cheap extra pair for back up! Thank you!

  6. You know, I don't even wear glasses but you just about convinced me to try out this site to see if I *might* need some! How awesome that you don't have to actually make an appointment at the doctor.. and pay for it!

Also, I'm only slightly jealous that you wore yoga pants today. I thought about wearing yoga pants, but figured I'd better not. I value my job (most days). Also also, I tend to Instagram stalk as well. ti's almost like.. a talent! :)

  7. Make sure you take the time to measure your PD. Last month I ordered glasses and the doctor never gave me that measurement so I guesstimated. Boy was I wrong and I have to look cross eyed to see out of my new glasses. hahaha At least they were only $10!

  8. Sorry to hear you are sick. Love this post- I desperately need to get a back up pair-(hopelessly blind without my spectacles) but they are soooo expensive. This site looks like it could solve my problem. :-) Thank you thank you for sharing!

  9. Wish I knew about this before I spent $200 on my latest pair last spring. I hate wearing glasses though, so I'm a contacts girl. Do they do contacts?

  12. Thanks for the tip, Alison! I wear reading glasses and have wanted a pair for home, school, up north, and my purse. I have been waiting to get a new pair each year when my insurance is available again. Only 4 years and I'll have them all, right?! With my copay this might even be cheaper, and I wouldn't have to wait!

  13. See, this is precisely why I haven't joined Instagram! Joanne and I are holding out together (don't give up on me, Joanne!). Haha!! I really don't need another place to stalk and it is scary thinking about the possibilities! This is seriously cool though that you can virtually try on the glasses. It almost makes me wish I needed glasses (almost!). :) XXOO
