Have you heard the fantabulous news?
Joanne from Head Over Heels for Teaching and Holly from Fourth Grade Flipper
have reached 1,000 followers!
This is majorly excitin' stuff for my super-duper sweet friends.
I was jumpin' up and down and runnin' around in circles
when I found out.
They asked me to help them celebrate with them on Day 4...which is a HUGE honor!
I LOVE them...BIG time!
So...I'm contributin' somethin' I worked on for my rockstars over break.
We are still strugglin' a little with multiplication of decimals.
I don't know about your kiddos, but mine don't like worksheets.
They like to have somethin' visually appealin' and well...somethin' fun
that captures their attention while they are learnin' at the same time.
Task cards are perfect to practice math skills and keep the kiddos engaged.
I like to always have task cards or a math game in at least one of my centers each day.
I'm not even goin' to wait until Valentine's to use these because my kiddos
need practice of this skill NOW.
I figure hearts are appropriate any time of the year...don't you?
I wish I had pictures of my kids in action with these task cards, but I won't see my
kiddos for another day.
I'm sure you understand.
I think these turned out precious and I know my rockstars are goin' to LOVE them.
If you love them too, then be sure to hop on over to
Joanne's or Holly's blogs to enter the Rafflecopter.
Two of my other favorite bloggers are participatin' today also.
AMC at Looking from Third to Fourth and Nick from Sweet Rhyme-Pure Reason.
Love the both of them too!

You won't be sorry...I promise.
Happy Sunday friends.
I hope you have a great first day back when you go back.
It's goin' to be 20 here tomorrow in the Panhandle of Florida.
I think that deserves a snow day for us Floridians!
I just wish my district agreed with me.
We LOVE you too Alison! Thank you so much for partying with us for our celebration! :) I knew you'd bring party favors! Your task cards are adorable and someone is going to be a very lucky winner! I vote YES for a snow day!

Yep, what Joanne^ said!! LOVE you! Those task cards make me wish I was teaching math this year. How adorable is that clipart and paper?!?
ReplyDeleteI will keep my fingers crossed for your snow day. I just had one Friday and it looks like we may get another one this week (knock on wood). Temps are supposed to be -30 with wind chill and 2 feet of snow from Monday to Tuesday!!! Yikes-that's a lot for one day even for here!!

Those cards a PRECIOUS! They are on my wish list as well. My kiddos struggle with this concept too.
ReplyDeleteIt will be in the 20's here as well, and its a staff development day. BOO HISS! It is going to be miserable! Texans are not made for this kind of weather.
Congrats to your Saints!

Love the cards...I've already entered the giveaway! I know what you mean about a southern snow day! It's going to be 16 degrees Monday night in SC! Umm...does old man winter know this is the South?! We don't handle those types of temps!
ReplyDeleteA Tall Drink of Water
Alison! I am envious of your task cards and ambition to get things done! You go girly! Meanwhile, I'be spent an embarrassingly large amount of days in sweat pants lounging. Oops!
ReplyDeleteErin
These task cards look great! I always have to spend a few days reviewing multiplication before I get into dividing the decimals.

I agree with Holly. I wish I was teaching math and could use those cards. So precious!! No snow days here either, but you know it's cold when Florida is in the 20s. We're supposed to reach single digits tonight, and that's my limit. If we go below zero, I'm packing my bags and heading to Florida!!
