Here...I'll go first...
I am fortunate enough to live in The Sunshine State.
I reside in Panama City Beach near the
white sandy beaches of the Emerald Coast of Florida.

Yep...I get to wear my flip flops to school!
PCB's water is blue-green, clear and beautiful.
That is the only reason you will catch me in the water...because
I can see the bottom.
(I'm petrified of sharks)

PCB is a peaceful place to live and vacation.
It's also a gorgeous backdrop for life's most
special moments.

Guess what though...
sometimes a girl wants to get away.
My first choice is always
Monterey County, California.
Why?
My parentals live here.
(I'm actually on vacation here right now)
I didn't grow up here, but
I was lucky enough to vacation here as
a teenager and young adult before my
parents moved here permanently.
You won't hear any complaints from me.
I get the BEST of both worlds.
I get the BEST of both worlds.
Two homes...
on beautiful coasts...on the opposite
ends of the country.
Want to see what my vacations in
The Golden State
look like?
I decided to do a throwback to my summer
last summer (2014)
on vacation in California.
Now a few photos from this California visit (2015)...
Whether it's drivin' down the coast through
San Fransisco to San Jose...
Santa Cruz to Marina...
Seaside to Carmel...
Carmel to Big Sur...
there is always a stunnin' sight to see.
More importantly...I get to spend time
with my loved ones.
Priceless!
Monterey/Carmel
Must see: Monterey Bay Aquarium,
I had to throw in another favorite spot...
if you know how much I love to nap, this one
will crack you up.
This is me @ 7 years old...takin' a nap
on the rocks in
Acadia National Park in Bar Harbor.
See the ocean waves above my head?
I obviously liked to live on the "edge" back then.
Good thing the quality of photographs has drastically improved
in the past 30 years.
Are you ready to give up your secret spot yet?

I wish I could have visited you out in Monterey county last week. Let's plan a trip for next year. Maybe I can stay a whole month out there like you. Love all of your pictures. I'm already missing the weather and great food. Is it bad I'm ready for another vacation?
ReplyDeleteYou look FAAAAbulous, darling!! Those pics of you and Jerm are adorable---married life really agrees with you. : )
ReplyDeleteI have to agree with you 100% about NorCal. Even though I'm a SoCal girl, I love the northern area of the state. It's like a totally different state up there.I'm sure I've said this to you before, but I fully intend to retire in Carmel--it doesn't get any better than Carmel!
Enjoyed your pics!

You almost need at least a month to go from one end of the state to the other. There is just so much to see and do!!!
DeleteWhat gorgeous pictures! I spent one spring break in Panama City a while back, and it is a beautiful place! And it has a Chick-fil-a...I'm so jealous!

Forever in Fifth Grade
I avoid the beach as much as possible during Spring Break...if I can help it! Yes, we have Chick-fil-a...or as my BFF and I call it...Chick-a-lay. I love Chick-fil-a sauce! If you ever come back to PCB...we have to meet up!!!!
DeleteI am SO JEALOUS that you live at the beach! I'm a beach gal, through and through...nothing compares to salt air and sand between my toes! What a great linky! I can't wait to link up!

DeleteThanks for introducing me to linky parties. This is fun! Loved looking at your pictures. You made such a beautiful bride!
ReplyDeleteAwww...thanks, Lori for joining in with us!! Loved your post and I love you!
DeleteHow could you sleep on a rock?? You must have been exhausted! I was up in the panhandle a couple of weeks ago for a wedding (Seaside). It was quite cloudy... my pictures did not show the real beauty of the beaches. Your pics are beautiful! I want to explore more of California. I only know San Francisco and the wine country.
