So...if you were hopin' for some phenomenal teacher related Tried it Tuesday, you're out of luck today because my "Tried It" has to do with food...somethin' sweet to be exact.
How many times are you browsin' through Pinterest and you see that gooey childhood treat that reminds you of summertime, summer camp, campfires...etc? It looks so yummy with chocolate oozin' out of the sides on top of an extra puffy marshmallow, sandwiched between two golden Graham crackers. That's right, you guessed it...S'MORES!
Well, I had to run into the Dollar General quickly last night and stumbled upon this at the front counter. *Insert angel music here*
Here is where you are probably waitin' for me to say this is the best thing ever invented, but you won't hear that. I wish I could tell you it was everythin' I wished for and more, but sadly...it failed. It was nothin' like the real thing and left my belly very empty and let down. It tasted more like a Moon Pie than a S'mores.
It's entirely too hot in Florida right now to go light a campfire, not to mention that I live in a 10 story high-rise condominium, so...I guess I'm not gettin' the "real deal" any time soon. *Sad face.
On a happier note...Have you checked out Double Trouble that Miss Nelson and I have been workin' on? We are tryin' a sale today and maybe some freebies will be added by the end of the night. Stop by and give us some love if you have a second. We are hard at work AND she is havin' a Triple Play Giveaway with Farley and Tara.
I promise I'll come up with somethin' better for the next Tried It Tuesday and even make it "Teacher Related".
Good job! I loved your story. Very sad for you... Try a caramel drumstick - they never ever disappoint!

The caramel drumstick as in the ice cream cone? If so, I LOVE them!
DeleteBummer! As soon as I saw the photo I was salivating...only to read to find that you were disappointed in it. On the bright side: saved calories! :) Deb

I didn't save any calories. I ate EVERY single bite. Lol! I almost went to the store tonight to get the ingredients to zap one in the microwave, but I stopped myself. haha
DeleteWhat a sad story! When I worked at a day camp we made "s'mores" with marshmallow fluff and chocolate frosting on graham crackers...maybe that can satisfy your fix??

DeleteWhen I saw the picture of the "S'mores", I thought, "Those don't look very good!" Lol. My kids just love s'mores and we often make them with Reese's cups! Yummy!!

DeleteThose sorts of letdowns are the worse! Especially when it has to do with delicious, oozy, gooey s'mores! You are always welcome to come here and have a bonfire- when it gets cooler than is! haha! It is definitely too hot in Florida right now! :)
