Saturday Snapshots...

I'm linkin' up again with Run! Miss Nelson's Got the Camera for "Saturday Snapshots".  I haven't snapped a lot of shots this week.  I went to a district Common Core trainin' and did some runnin' around at all the local craft stores and before I knew it...it was already Saturday again.

Peeked in on my classroom...still waitin' on the floors to be cleaned.

Ate some of the yummiest Chocolate Peanut Butter ice cream
at my favorite place, Pink Pelican!  I crave this stuff sometimes!

Found some super cute baskets at Tuesday Mornin' that I want to snag.
My colors and butterflies...love!

Found this one at my Nitty's before I left.  I hate clowns.
This must have been before I watched Poltergeist for the first time.
It's okay if you're laughin'...I sure did.

I know some little rockstars that would like some of this stuff.
Does anyone else get really cool purses and such that the kiddies make
for you out of Duck Tape?

How did I not know about this stuff?  Again...livin' under a rock!

Saw these at Walmart.  I think I need these in my life.
I'll be Hap-pay! Hap-pay! Hap-pay!

My backyard. I didn't snap this, but my bestie did for me this week.
I sure was missin' this view while I was out of town.

My better half, Jerm! He is the happiest person on the face of this planet.
I've never seen this guy in a bad mood,
even when he has to put up with my sassy, bossiness!

Did y'all see this?  Head over to Oh' Boy 4th Grade to check this out
and enter for your chance to win $100.

Guess what?!?...I WON somethin'.
I never win anything, but today I WON a box of goodies
from The Techie Teacher, Julie.  Hip Hip Hooray!
I feel like I won a million bucks!
I'd add a picture of her email, but y'all already know what gmail looks like.

Be on the lookout for somethin' special comin' your way from
Miss Nelson and myself.
Here's your hint: It ROCKS!  Are you intrigued?

  1. Alison, your classroom looks huge! I LOVE chocolate peanut butter ice cream-pure heaven! Sorry, you didn't know about the magnetic tape. I showed a pretty cool tape on my guest blog today-go check it out on my blog. I think you'll be excited! You and Jerm look adorable!

    1. My room really isn't as big as it looks. The open wall is deceiving. My besties class is where the open space is. We have separation anxiety and keep the wall open, even though we are in different grade levels we do a LOT of collaboration and buddy stuff! It's amazing what the little kids can teach the big kids! Two years ago her kids were in 1st and mine were in 5th. They LOVED each other so much, it was heartbreaking to see them have to part ways. They did well in 2nd grade with my 4th graders and now we are both looping with the same group. So...3rd graders and 5th graders together again. They are over the moon and about knocked us over when we told both classes we were going to be their teachers again. Too fun!

  2. I am cracking up about the clown picture. I thought I was the only one that was forever ruined by clowns due to the Poltergeist movie. Any time anyone ask me why I don't like clowns my one word response is "Poltergeist". Thanks for sharing.

    1. I even think I watched it in the middle of the day. It didn't matter. I still hate clowns.

  3. Congrats on winning!!! I am that person who never wins anything either :)

Also, I've never seen that magnetic tape, but did know about the magnet strips that came in rolls. I wonder how similar it is? Good find!

    1. The magnetic tape looked very thin...like actual tape. I know the strip is definitely thicker.

  5. I love duct tape! I'm not able to make anything fancy out of it, but i love how creative the kids are. One of my favorite (flower) pens was made by one of my students out of duck tape. Magnetic tape is awesome as well!

  6. Duck Dynasty bandaids? Too funny! Love, love your view! One of my pictures for this week (if I actually get around to typing my post) is this morning's coffee view from my deck. I can't imagine not living near the water.

    1. Yes...it's fun to watch the fish jump, boats go by, Navy divers diving, and the little ants crossing the bridge.

  10. Magnetic tape! I wish you had posted this yesterday, I bought some silly kids crafting magnetic strips for a project that I ended up having to hot glue because it wouldn't stick. I definitely need to remember this for future projects!

    1. I found it at Michael's in the magnets section. I had never seen it before, but then again I haven't had to buy magnets for several years, so I didn't even know it existed.

  11. Wow, the view from you back yard is gorgeous - I'd be missing it too.

My kids were really into all the duck tape stuff a couple of years ago. This year I got a bunch of bracelets made out of tiny rubber bands.
